About Me
Me llamo Iris Navarro - a proud first-generation Mexican American and the daughter of two parents who immigrated from Mexico at a young age. Their journey, courage, and love for our culture shaped the person I am today. I carry their raices with pride, and through my candles I hope to honor their story while keeping our traditions alive.
The Story
This project was born from my love for heritage, handmade craft, and the comforting glow of candlelight. The name Candela y Raiz - "candle and roots" - represents both the light we share with others and the deep connection to where we come from.
Each vessel is hand-made by talented artisans in Mexico, carrying with it the artistry and soul of our culture. I hand pour every candle with 100% clean soy wax, non-toxic blending scents that represent family, ancestors, and the places that have shaped my story.
